Yield: 36 bite-size pieces
Ingredients
1 (12-ounce) package of extra-firm tofu
1 ½ Tempura flour
2T cornstarch
2t salt
1t garlic powder
1t Ginger powder
2t red pepper flakes
2t ground black pepper
Oil (I used Grapeseed)
General Tso Sauce
Sesame Seeds for garnish
Directions
Drain the tofu, place it on a plate, and stack heavy plates on top of the tofu to drain any remaining moisture, for about 15 minutes. Slice into 36 bite-sized pieces.
Combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a large resealable plastic bag. Toss tofu into the bag, seal, and shake to coat.
Pour oil into a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook tofu in hot oil, turning often, until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Place on a paper towel to catch leftover oil.
Toss Tofu bites with 2T of General Tso Sauce and pair it with more on the side for dipping.
Enjoy!
Happy Planning 😊,
Shanae
