Crock Pot Lasagna

Who doesn't love comfort food? Why not load up the crock pot with something yummy.



Yield: 8-10 servings


Ingredients

  • 20 oz No Boil lasagna

  • 1 jar and a half of your favorite Pasta Sauce ( I used Classico Traditional and Fire Roasted Tomato and Garlic)

  • 15 oz of Ricotta Cheese

  • 10 oz of Thawed Frozen Spinach

  • 10 oz of Ground Turkey

  • 5 oz of Spicy Turkey Sausage

  • 3/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese

  • 3 cups of Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1/2 cup Onion (small dice)

  • 2 gloves of minced garlic

  • 1 Red Pepper (small dice)

  • 1 Orange Pepper (small dice)

  • 1 packet of McCormick's Sloppy Joe Seasoning

  • 1 T of Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 T of Red Pepper Flakes

  • 2 T of Italian Seasoning


Directions


1. In a large skillet over medium heat cook the ground turkey, spicy turkey sausage, onion,minced garlic, red pepper, sloppy Joe seasoning,red pepper flakes until brown. Add the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and thawed spinach. Cook until heated through.

2. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese, and garlic powder.

3.Start with a layer of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the crock-pot, Add a double layer of the uncooked lasagna noodles. Break to fit noodles properly. Then add your cheese mixture. Repeat the layering and top off the pasta with more mozzarella cheese.

4. Cover, and cook on LOW setting for 4 to 6 hours.
